She joined the Paris Opera School in 1973 and joined the Paris Opera Ballet in 1979. He became “Quadrille” in 1980, “Coryphée” in 1984, “Sujet” in 1985 and “Première danseuse” in 1989. By then, she received solo roles from Rudolph Nureyev in “Lake of the Swords”, “Cinderella”, “Raymonda” and “Don Quixote”.
In the same year Roland Petit chose her to dance in “Debussy pour sept danseurs”, “Carmen et Le Loup” and Jérôme Robbins in “En Sol” and “Dances at a Gathering”.
During a tour of the Paris Opera in Nîmes, on July 22, 1993, where she played Myrtha in “Giselle”, she was named “Danseuse étoile”, at the same time with Nicolas Le Riche and Fanny Gaïda.
He has also danced in the works of George Balanchine, Serge Lifar, Harald Lander, Maurice Béjart, Jiří Kylián, Twyla Tharp, Odile Duboc, William Forsythe, Jean-Claude Gallotta, Mats Ek.
He danced for the last time at the Opera in 2001, in “In The Night” by Jerome Robbins, with Manuel Legris as a partner.
Carole Arbo then became a classical dance teacher (first division) at the Paris Opera School of Dance.
It is decorated by the Ministry of Culture “Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Mérite.”
