Nina Ivanovich

Nina Ivanovich was born on October 28, 1961 in the city of Turda (Romania). She graduated the Academy of Choreography from Leningrad A.Ya.Vaganova (teachers: NF Uhova, GPKonischev, APBosov, TI Shmyrova, A.Maho).

From 1980 to 1982s she studied the “Roma Film” directing classes in Bucharest. In 1994 she graduated in Pedagogy at the Vaganova Ballet Academy (professors: I.A.Trofimova, L.Ye Goncharova, G.P.Konischev, N.N.Serebrennikov). Nina worked in the “Young Ballet” Theater (1980-1986), Opera and Ballet “Opera Ateneum”, Bucharest (1980-1986). She was the organizer and artistic director of the “Neva-Dance” Theater (1989-2001), curator, educator and director of Galina Vişnevskaia Opera House (2008-2010), creating choreographies for shows such as “Tradition “,” War and Peace “,” Two Traditional Parties “(Moscow), artistic director of the festival” Ftmilj Fest “. At the Russian Ballet Academy she teaches historical dance (students: Ekaterina Osmolkina, Yevgenia Obraztsova, Vladimir Shishov, Maria Yakovleva, Ekaterina Borchenko, Vladimir Shklyarov, etc.),

She has a rich artistic activity as a director, choreographer, pedagogue and curator but also as an artistic director of several theaters and festivals. She is currently teaching historical dance at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg.
