Revolve Dance Festival

2024 Summer Edition

Ballet intensive workshop - Bucharest 12-25 august

Revolve Dance took place from August 10 to 24, 2024, in a cultural space at Palatul Universul (Apollo 111) in Bucharest, culminating in the Stars Gala on August 25.

This edition was dynamic and extraordinary! During 12 days of intensive training, we accomplished:

  • A Don Quixote suite, featuring all Revolve Dance 2024 participants in various ensemble roles—character and classical dance, pas de deux, pas de trois, pas de quatre
  • Four contemporary dance group choreographies
  • One contemporary duet choreography
  • A Raymonda suite

The performance showcased talented young dancers enrolled in the Revolve Dance summer edition, alongside our brand ambassadors who have received long-term support:

  • Horia Bucur, ballet dancer at the Bucharest National Opera
  • Alecsia Lăzărescu, student at the Royal Ballet School in London
  • Rebeca Zamfir, student at the European Ballet School in Amsterdam

Additionally, young dancers who have joined prestigious ballet companies and represent the new wave of international ballet performed:

  • Rebecca Rudolf, Bayerisches Junior Ballet
  • Vsevolod Maievskyi, soloist at the English National Ballet in London and former principal dancer at the Mariinsky Theatre

Scholarships were awarded for future editions of Revolve Dance and partner events:

  • 9 scholarships for Youth America Grand Prix
  • 2 scholarships for Prix de Hivernale in Belgium
  • 3 scholarships for the Sibiu Dance Competition
  • 10 scholarships for the Movment competition in Bulgaria

The Stars Gala was held on the Ion Caramitru Stage at the National Theatre I.L. Caragiale in Bucharest.
